  • Design Codes in Action (18 March 2026). Rob Lloyd-Sweet, Head of Devolution and Local Government, and Antony Lowe, Senior Policy Adviser at Historic England, take a very practical look at how design codes can be used, looking at two examples, Pendle Mills and Newark.
  • Heritage Investment Prospectus (19 November 2025). In 2025, Historic England launched the first Heritage Investment Prospectus. This new initiative showcased historic sites and buildings across England where owners are actively seeking investment partners or buyers right now. The Prospectus forms part of our ongoing commitment to work proactively with partners in the property industry to deliver transformational projects that protect heritage, promote high-quality new design, and create lasting value for investors and communities.
  • Heritage Works for Housing (18 September 2024). Hear from the expert authors of Historic England’s new guidance, highlighting how historic buildings can be reused, repurposed and refurbished to provide residential development. As well as setting out a clear process how this can be achieved, this advice also includes multiple development case studies of varying size.
