SJ3189 BIRKENHEAD PARK 789-1/8/26 Swiss Bridge 28/03/74 (Formerly Listed as: BIRKENHEAD PARK Footbridge over part of east lake)
GV II
Footbridge over lake. c1843-7 but extensively renewed. Timber and stone with tiled roof. Stone abutments and timber main structure with panelled parapet decorated with scallops, chevrons and bulls eyes. Wood railings to steps each side. Wood columns with 4-way bracing carry the red tiled roof with ridge cresting.
