Description

A collection of thirty-three black and white photographic prints, taken by industrial historian Colin Bowden between c1960 and c1994. The prints primarily show steam engines in situ at various factories, mills, pumping stations and other industrial sites across the country. Sites represented in the collection include: Cadbury Schweppes Foods Ltd, Histon, Cambridgeshire; Linton Mill, Yorkshire; Whitehall Road Power Station, Leeds; Edgar Davies (Surgicals) Ltd, Church, Lancashire; Ram Brewery, Wandsworth, London; Manor Brickworks, Raunds, Northamptonshire; and River Don Works, Sheffield.
