Environmental Archaeology
A Guide to the Theory and Practice of Methods, from Sampling and Recovery to Post-excavation (third edition)
This document and the supporting appendices provides guidance for good practice in environmental archaeology.
The main report gives practical advice on the applications and methods of environmental archaeology within archaeological projects.
The supporting appendices provide a range of case studies on the application of environmental archaeology approaches, as well as a summary of commonly utilised biological remains. It should not replace advice given by specialists on specific projects, nor is it intended that these guidelines should inhibit future development of methodologies or recommended procedures.
