How it works

The video is embedded into the page and when the button overlaid on the image is pressed the video will play on the page. 

Intended purpose

More and more footage is being created by Historic England and this enables deeper storytelling, it is a time-proven way to engage more visitors and make content more compelling.

Branded Historic England video is widely being used across the site now on article pages, career sections and blogs.

 

How to add to CMS

  1.  As an Editor, go to the CMS and scroll down on an article page.
  2.  Find the article page you want to edit.
  3.  Click the "Add Content" option to open the content editor within Sections.
  4.  Select "Add Content" and click "YouTube Video".
  5.  After adding your YouTube Video, Add the desired Titles and Descriptions by typing in the text boxes
  6.  Save the changes to your article page in Umbraco.
  7.  Preview the article page to ensure the YouTube Item works and views as expected.
