How it works

The component will frame words that someone else has said or written. Normally the person, their job role and their business/organisation name who has said these things will form part of the component.

Intended purpose

This component should utilise a key phrase, quotation or excerpt that has been pulled from an article and used as a page layout graphic element, serving to entice readers into the article or to highlight a key topic.

How not to use the component

  • Never use more than a paragraph of text.
  • Do not highlight text that is not a quote or an excerpt. 
  • Do not capitalise authors name or organisation.

How to add to CMS

  1.  As an Editor, go to the CMS and scroll down on an article page.
  2.  Find the article page you want to edit.
  3.  Click the "Add Content" option to open the content editor within Sections.
  4.  Select "Add Content" and click "Quote".
  5.  After adding your Quote, Add the desired Titles and Descriptions by typing in the text boxes
  6.  Save the changes to your article page in Umbraco.
  7.  Preview the article page to ensure the quote works and views as expected.
