Heritage Investment Prospectus

The Heritage Investment Prospectus showcases historic sites and buildings across England where owners are actively seeking investment partners or buyers right now.

The Prospectus helps to connect existing owners of heritage development sites with potential investors. It is part of Historic England’s work to support community regeneration, housing delivery and economic growth.

Following the warm reception of the 2025 edition, we are now looking for sites to include in the 2026 edition, which will focus on housing.

We are looking for heritage sites and buildings that are on the market or are looking for investors. These should be suitable for residential conversion, refurbishment as housing, or new development of homes in the setting of historic assets. This can be at any scale, but the sites proposed should be viable commercial opportunities. Ideally, the sites will have planning permission and/or Listed Building Consent either granted or likely to be granted in the near future.

The sites do not need to be on the Heritage at Risk Register or vulnerable to being at risk, but they should include heritage assets; this can include local-listing, conservation areas, and non-designated heritage.

Deadline for submissions is 16 January 2026
